Tell
me more about your free removal truck?
Yes,
we have a courtesy truck and trailer provided free to
assist your move into Hi-Tech Self Storage. The truck
even has a hydraulic lift on the back to help with the
heavier items and the trailer is fully enclosed so the
weather won’t delay your move. Contact our staff
to book in your time for the truck or trailer.
Is
there a minimum rental period for a storage unit?
Storers
are required to pay 1 month in advance and provide 7 days
notice if they wish to move out. The portion of the unused
rent will be refunded to the storer. So in essence, the
7 days notice is the minimum storage period.
How
much does self storage cost?
Rentals
start from as little as $12/week for a 1m x 1.5m unit,
however there are many different sizes available and
the cost will depend entirely on how many m3 you need
to store.

size.
Do
I have to pay a deposit?
Yes,
there is a refundable deposit payable when you sign your
contract for storage. The maximum deposit required would
be $40.
What
options do I have to pay my rental?
Most
storers will pay monthly, however your payment in advance
of 3, 6 or 12 months will give you a discount on your
rental. You can authorize us to charge a credit card on
your due date, send us a cheque, arrange a direct debit
with your bank, or come into our on site office to pay
over the counter.
Will
anyone else have a key for my storage unit?
Absolutely
not, you can bring your own padlock or purchase one of
ours, either way you hold the only keys.

What
hours can I access my unit?
7am
– 7pm, 7 days a week including public holidays,
all entries and exits are recorded on our system for your
peace of mind.
Are the storage units clean and dry?
Yes,
all our units are thoroughly cleaned after each customer
and treated to keep out unwanted pests. Our facility has
advanced storm water drainage to ensure your goods remain
dry. We do however recommend you purchase insurance to
cover your possessions whilst in storage, ask our staff
for assistance.
What
about security?
The
premises are fully fenced with barbed wire. Entry is via
our automated security gates, every entry and exit is
recorded, beam alarms cover the perimeter, caretakers
live on the site and we let a guard dog loose at night
!! Totally secure for your peace of mind.
Can
you help with packaging supplies?
We
sell tea chests, book boxes, bubblewrap, tape, padlocks,
butchers paper, archive boxes and marking pens. See our
display in the office.
Are my goods insured in storage?
NRMA,
GIO and AMP will transfer your existing contents insurance
policy, just advise them where your goods are, like changing
address. Alternatively you can purchase insurance, because
the goods are yours it is up to you to insure them. Ask
for a brochure.
